SECAC Meeting – Anxiety

We hope you can join us on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 7:00 PM. We will meet in Room 114 of Building E on the Greenwood Campus. (6901 Charles Street Towson, MD 21204)

The SECAC topic for discussion is Anxiety.
What is anxiety and what causes it? What happens in the mind and body when a child is anxious? How can we help our anxious child? What tools will enable our children to be successful?

After an overview on Anxiety will be provided. We will have a panel available to handle questions from the audience:
Gail Martin, BCPS Team Leader, School Social Worker
Melanie Martin, BCPS Counselor – George Washington Carver Center
Lauren Weingard, BCPS School Psychologist
Lori Widney, BCPS Counselor – Middlesex Elementary
Dr. Heidi Schreiber-Pan, Licensed Psychotherapist in private practice
Dr. Tana Hope, Director, Child and Family Therapy Clinic, Kennedy Krieger

There is no need to RSVP. This meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about anxiety and how to help their school age student K-12.
